Dr.Hooman Mir, DPM, MSc, FAPWCA is a DPM Physician, Foot & Ankle Medicine Specialist with Fellow Board Certification in Wound Care , An Assistant Professor in Academic Medicine and Consultant Physician in Medical Curriculum Design & Innovation. After graduating from University of Texas with bachelor of Pre-Medical Sciences, he obtained his Medical Degree in Podiatry Medicine from Temple, School of Podiatry Medicine in Philadelphia along with one-year Surgical Internship in Foot and Ankle Surgery, advanced Physician-Training in Clinical Investigation and Healthcare Policy & Patient Safety.

He is a UT, Temple , School of Podiatry Medicine, Temple Medicine , UT Health  and Thomas Jefferson Medicine Alumni with surgical externship in Foot & Ankle Surgery from Yale New Haven-Yale School of Medicine, Albert Einstein Medical Center and A&M Scott and White Hospital.

Dr.Hooman successfully completed his one-year surgical internship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. 

Known as Dr.Hooman, he made history by becoming the First and Youngest DPM Physician to receive FULL-NIH Tuition Reimbursement from Department of Medicine at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio(UTHSCSA) for his advanced Physician-Training in Clinical Investigation. He successfully completed his advanced training while obtaining the Physician-Master of Science Degree in Clinical Investigation and publication of his thesis on Diabetic Nephropathy.

In addition to his advanced physician training in Clinical Investigation, Dr.Hooman also received official one-year advanced Physician-Training in Health Care Policy & Patient Safety from the prestigious Thomas Jefferson, School of Medicine and Population Health  in Philadelphia.

Dr.Hooman is the CEO & Founder of “ Hooman Medicine” , a concierge medical service consisting of private physicians who provide exclusive consultation, custom-made treatment for diabetic patients ,diabetic wound ulceration treatment, lower extremity gait analysis and biomechanics. 

Hooman Medicine-Gait & Biomechanics Laboratory is a Dubai branch of Hooman Medicine which focuses on gait & biomechanics abnormalities within lower limbs with design of orthotics.

Dr.Hooman’s one-year training at Mount Sinai and Elmhurst Hospital has led to development of his Hooman Medicine-Nutritor.

As an International Medical Lecturer, Dr.Hooman has given medical lectures at prestigious institutes such as AMEE, UT Health, Texas Diabetes Institute, International Foot & Ankle Foundation Conference, Albert Einstein Medical Center and FIP World Congress of Podiatry. In addition, he has run his surgical amputation workshops at prestigious institutes such as Imperial Medical College in London in the past 5 years.

As an Austin-Texan Born, Dr.Hooman lives in Los Angeles and divides his personal time between Austin, New York, Berlin, Dubai and Tehran. He is fluent in English, Farsi, Arabic and German with mid-level French as a result of his boarding school education in Salzburg, Austria. In his personal life, Dr.Hooman is a travel/hotel enthusiast who has pursued travel and GoPro Photography as serious hobby.
